Crimson Moon by Georgiana Fields is the third installment in the Crimson Series. The story is a stand-alone paranormal romance within the series that will leave you breathless. The love and danger within this book will make you feel like you are on a roller coaster ride.

Tristan Wolfe is a Dhampir who is grieving over his brother, Peter, and his sister-in-law’s deaths. On top of that, he is searching for his missing niece, Shelby. Meanwhile, in the Okefenokee Swamp, Shelby finds refuge in a garage owned by Nicole Durham. When Tristan finally gets to Shelby, he takes one look at Nicole and realizes she is his mate and nothing will stop him from claiming what’s his. Will this be a story with a happily ever after or will his family’s enemy, Fagan, ruin everything?

In this book, Georgiana Fields creates the supernatural world in a unique way. I liked this because in most books you have the same concepts regarding vampires and werewolves. Crimson Moon’s supernatural species is the Dhampir. Within this species, you have shapeshifters, that can shapeshift into animals that are the proper size to the one that is shifting, ones that can fly, and some can even turn into mist. While they can do all this, they also have to drink blood but can eat food as well. Tristan’s family likes to shift into wolves, whereas, Fagan’s family prefers the form of cats. Toby, Nicole’s protector, is an Ancient, which means he is a very old shifter, and this shifter likes to turn into an alligator.

As I mentioned before, when Tristan sees Nicole for the first time he knows she is his mate. Tristan is all alpha male, and when a Dhampir finds his mate he wants to complete the bond instantly, but with Nicole, he knows that is going to be an issue. Nicole is a human and new to the Dhampir world. She has had a very abusive past, and last but not least, she is a spitfire that does not take any crap from anyone, especially shapeshifters. The mate bond is eternal and reading the journey they go through was spectacular.

Overall the book was well written. The story brings you into the world the author created. The bond of the Wolfe pack is incredible. The love they have for one another as well as the joking, makes you see the tight fit of the family. There are a lot of characters in the book, but the author does an excellent job of not bombarding the reader with a lot of narrations. The book is written in Nicole and Tristan’s point of view, so you get to see both sides of the romance, and the transitions the story takes leading up to the end.

I rate Crimson Moon a 3 out of 4 stars. I would have rated this a 4 star book if it were not for the grammatical errors. Throughout the book, there were misspellings, misplaced words, and present tense issues. This book will be ideal for readers that love a romance novel that includes the supernatural. Also, at the end of the book, Georgiana adds an excerpt from her fourth installment of the series, Crimson Hearts, as well as, other books she has written.

Even though this story seems to be in Tristan's point of view, Nicole sounds like an awesome character as well! This supernatural book seems interesting especially with all the shape shifters.

Great Review! ?

Thank you Amagine! It is actually in Nicole's point of view as well. It keeps flipping back and forth throughout the book, so you get to see both sides. Nicole's personality is strong and independent but she can be vulnerable as well. The conversations between Tristan and Nicole will have you laughing out loud in some scenes.

Please do...this book was great. If the others have the same vibe than I would suggest reading the whole series.

IF I'm going to read romance, it would be supernatural romance like this one. Sounds like an interesting story. I'm glad that you enjoyed it in spite of the errors.

Kandscreeley stole my words. Romance is best done with a supernatural theme. I enjoy that the author did not simply use the vampire, wolf cliche.
