I have thoroughly enjoyed having kids and now having an excuse to read them the books that I used to (from what I can remember) love as a kid myself. Do I read children's books just for my own pleasure? No, but I do read them to my boys!

I do read children's books! There is this good saying that a good children's book/show is something that both adults and children enjoy. After all, the consumption of said stories, while for children, are often supported by the parents who read it to them or who browse the story so they can answer questions should they arise. There should always be something for both the child and the parent. This is why we always find easter eggs and sort of darker hints when we re-read the books we loved as a child when we're older.

Not unless I'm reading them to my kids. I do enjoy YA sometimes, but for me anything that is middle grade or younger is just not something that I'm personally interested in.

Yes I do! I love reading it to myself or to my son. I guess there is a child in everyone of us☺ The colorful pictures heighten the interests of the readers especially if they are kids.

Your right.I equally do read because I love interacting with little children. With these books I can have or obtain more things I should do with children

I do, especially around holidays. My family has some picture books and children's novels relating to Halloween, or Christmas, Valentine's Day, etc., that I read to help get myself into the holiday spirit. There have been some times also when I was craving a certain children's novel from my childhood, and decided to read it again.
Think, believe, manifest.

I haven't stopped reading them. :D They have the best pros of any book out there. For instance, you'll know the author's intention just by reading the title or flipping through the pictures. They give instant gratification because you can read them in less then 10 minutes and move onto another one. They are so thin you could have 100's and still have room on the shelf. And the best part is when they transport you instantly to your childhood and where and when you read it.

Children's books are the ultimate short stories.

I don't always have time for that now, but I really enjoy them...many children's books are very good quality, and the illustrations are usually engaging, too.

Yes, I do! One book that I loved reading growing up was Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine. I borrowed it from the library every chance I got. Now I read it once a year. It just takes me back to when I first fell in love with reading!
