As surprising as this may seem (sarcasm), I am a loyal Potterhead, but I do have to say, I really enjoyed the Lunar Chronicles. I wasn't convinced a retelling of fairy tales was something I'd be into, but the sci-fi twist was really enjoyable. Plus, the female lead that doesn't look or act like a normal girl, but thinks like one while remaining badass, was epic!

While I do love all the books you listed in the initial post, I must say Tales of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin is a personal favorite :techie-reference:

My favorites are: Game of Thrones: A Song of Ice and Fire Series, Harry Potter Series, and The Outlander Series. I love fantasy series that involve history, made-up worlds, wars, love, and fantastical creatures and events.

I love C.S.Lewis's The Chronicles of Narnia and Harry Potter. I have just started reading The Lord of the Rings, I think, it will also make the list of my favourites.

My favourite, other than Harry Potter obviously, is the Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness. The book is a metaphor and a story and everything you ever want to read.

This is probably my favorite genre of all time so it is so it is hard to pick a favorite! For me though I think it would be the Lord of the Rings. I love all the old English ties in to his works. It makes them so powerful.

I know it's like the marmite of the epic fantasy world, but I LOVE The Sword of Truth Series, by Terry Goodkind.

I think my all time favorite is the Harry Potter franchise, but Lord of the Rings is a very close second. Of course, I have to add just about any of the Star Trek series as well. :)

I do so love Harry Potter and pinch myself for every series I haven't yet been able to lay my hands on. I also enjoyed Terra Nova as well, great storylines...

As of now, my favorite Sci-fi is the Maze Runner series. I was actually introduced to it by my tutee who was kind of a difficult student. When he told me that he like the series, I started reading it. We found a common ground and he then started behaving better in class. I think that memory makes the series special to me.
