I just finished reading the book and I'm going to commend the authors on the the character of Nadia. She's the most perfect character in the book.

My question is this, WHY WOULD ELIAS SEARCH EVERYWHERE FOR MALIKA AND EVENTUALLY WHEN HE FOUND HER, THEY DEPARTED SO ABRUPTLY?

You told a perfect story but almost drowned it in Adele's lyrics, I don't like that.

I agree that some people liked the concept of the lyrics and others didn't. We honestly felt it's different and it makes the concept of the concert more strong besides, what inspired us to write the whole book is a concert for Adele we have been to .

Regarding Elias, malika's story depecits how life changes us, and sometimes even if we reach our dreams and fulfill them... yet we lose something in return. In a journey of making your dream. You can't be back the same.
So when Elias met her, he saw an old mature Malik's who saw so much pain in the last eight years, this made her a different Malika. The innocence, naivety and passion she had in her heart was lost. She is older... Yaser's malika is not her. So he simply left.

It's great actually. You could have used it in the titles only like you did and told matching stories, meanwhile, that was creative.
Whatever it is, I agree with the "Elias" concept. I identify with it even. We aspire for something with our whole essence and guess what, we achieve it and feel like 'was it really worth the effort?' meanwhile, in the quest for it, we would have let go of something important and worthwhile.

Nothing, but we added after the translation.
Malika's last dance was less than four sentences.
Yaser's kiss with Isabelle was less than a sentence.
Yaser's first sex call was way more shorter.
And other things, but those are the ones I remember

Malika's last hysterical dance was an act of rebelling, it represented all the feelings the other three protagonists went through, if you read the last two pages again, the dance description is about all of them rather than just malika.

Thank you for your answers. I think people can move closer to peace as they gain wisdom and life experience. I was wondering if Malika was moving closer to or further away from peace.

Yes it's real stories but slightly different to fit the concept. Nadia's story is my sisters real story (the co-author RIAlyaseer)

Oh wow!! Out of all the characters I admired Nadi the most. I loved her determination and love for her son. Hats off to your sister

Can we expect a sequel of the book?

No, although the translator suggested we make a sequel from the other point of views: Nadia's ex, Mariam and malika. I liked the idea, but no.
