Great review! I love a good mystery but with the lack of editing and the failure of characters to connect made me think I might pass but when I read this in the review "His ability to put love into words is nothing short of swoon-worthy, and will melt the heart of anyone who has known love, has lost love, or has been to the depths of suffering only to find the light of love lifting them up again." I just have to read this one. Thanks so much for sharing!

I'm not too much of a romance addict, but I do like the murder, mystery, lies side of the story. The cover is GORGEOUS and caught my eye immediately! I probably would have bought the book based on the cover alone...absolutely stunning in my opinion! I think might give it a try, despite the editing issues. Thank you so much...your review of today's #BOTD was very well-written!

Excellent and very thorough review! Sounds like a winner even though it needs a bit of reworking. A definite read though.

Wow this book sounds amazing! It seems like it has a little bit of everything I could want in a book...romance and intrigue. Great job on the review and I liked that you added a snippet of the writing. :)

I would hands-down read more from Felix Alexander for his superb writing style alone, it is one I would most definitely recommend to any lovers of love. Mixing romance, crime and murder in a single book is not easy and I congratulate the author for doing such a wonderful job. The review has also been written in a wonderful way.

The editing mistakes worry me a little bit, but it sounds like a fantastic read so I'll probably pick a copy up.

Great review. A story set just after the Spanish-American war where there's love, loss, mystery, betrayal, lies , secrets and murder catches my interest. That the two main characters fancy themselves Sherlock Holmes is another reason to read it.

While this genre isn't really my cup of tea, the Review is very convincing and I ALMOST want to read the whole thing, just to experience the great differing points of view.
