For a romance genre (that I never read), this has the most intriguing description and review I have ever read. The Labyrinth of Love Letters is an amazingly interesting concept and the has all the ingredients of a top-notch book. I love how you describe this as less of a mystery and more of a puzzle that gets solved bit by bit: brilliant. Thanks for the review.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel from start to finish. This is one is for the romantics, although there is a mysterious and sinister twist to it all. The last Valentine is really one of its kind

A wonderful review that doesn't include spoilers although you clearly tell us (who haven't read the book) what to expect. Your review makes me want to read the book even more.

I agree that the reader needs time to be able to connect with the characters. It's too bad this didn't appear to have it.
It sounds very interesting though. Thank you for the review.

In this book the last valentine, the persona brings out the theme of love strongly. Alludes to different colors to emphasise the love. The book is masterly composed.

hsimone wrote:Love, secrets, betrayal, mystery, and murder? Wow! Sounds like an amazing and captivating romance! I love how the writing style was something that captured your attention. Too bad about the editing issues. Hopefully, the author will have this fixed since this seems like something I would enjoy. I'm glad that you were still able to enjoy the read!

Exactly I'm sure I'll enjoy reading the book.

Politics and mystery aren't usually topics I'm drawn to but the way you describe the beautiful writing makes me intrigued about this one. Great review!

I dislike books where I can't fully connect with the characters, I think I can do without reading this book. Thanks for the honest review.

You did an excellent job of giving the potential reader some insight into what the book is about without any spoilers. You mentioned the fact that the book needed some editing as well, I like that you looked past that and were able to see the story.

Not very interested in romance but I think it's a good piece for romance pundits. Thank you for the honest review and I think it only helps to make writing better.

This book sounds very interesting and I like that the mystery involves a romance. The setting of being after the Spanish-American war adds depth to the plot because of the rebuilding of society. I love that these two young people are searching for a mythological hideout for lovers so that they can be free to express their love for one another. I agree that editing is crucial for a book to be successful and the repetition takes away from the story.
