I too love "happily ever after", but not always does it fit the tale.

I don't think I would read a sequel. Not everyone needs to be happy with the way it ended. They should just accept that it's the end. I see sequels are very popular these days but I'm just not a fan of this type of things.

I agree that a sequel isn't necessary, but it would be nice to read about some of the secondary characters.

I'm not sure if I would read the sequel, if there was one. I wasn't a fan of the this one, in general. But, if there was one, I agree with others - I would like more about Nadia and Malika. I'm all set with Yaser; he complained too much during this one, so I would rather not hear him complain more or even witness more of the arguments him and Mariam would get into.

I would like to hear more about Nadia and Malika as well. I liked them the most.

I don't think it needs a sequel but if there was one I'd like it to somehow link all the characters together so they end up crossing paths.

I would have preferred a slightly longer novel, with a bit more than the epilogue, to tell what happens next. There isn't enough to go on for a sequel.

Although I enjoyed the book, I wouldn't be interested in a sequel.

I agree. That would have worked better than a sequel .

Not every book is fated to become part of a series, and this book I think is best as a standalone novel. The way it ended, it sounds better for it to be this way. If it does get a sequel though, I hope the author will not disappoint and will bring the story to something new and interesting with some of the main characters in new adventures.

I personally want to leave the story as is. I think any sequel will pale in comparison.

I found the theme of this book very interesting, but it's prose didn't engage me very much. I don't think adding Adele's lyrics was a very good idea. I don't think there is much left for Nadia's story. As Gali states, Nadia's problem lies in her culture. Perhaps a story of how that culture may evolve from Nadia's perspective. Yaser's search for a deeper love with his wife may have a story. Malika's story is wide open because she left all her baggage when she moved to Rome – or did she …..

Does this require another Adele album? I think it's going to be repetitive and just...forced. The first book already seemed like it was pushing it in terms of the use of lyrics.
