I agree with you. I also agree about the phrasing of the question.Gravy wrote:I find this question to have some unpleasant connotations.
Every partner should try to please their significant other, regardless of gender. However, I don't think either side should just expect to be catered to, which is what comes to mind with this phrasing (like I said, connotations).
I believe a lot of women still have the unfortunate mindset that it's expected of them, but that some honestly enjoy it. I also believe that it should never be taken for granted, on either side.

Thanks for your contribution. I value your opinion. It's true both partners should please each other.SilviaP21 wrote:I don't think it's a rule. In a healty relationship both partners try to please each other. If only one of them is making an effort, I think something is wrong.

OK well taken. It's true.kislany wrote:I'd say it should be a bit of a compromise. Both should try to please each other and make each other happy. Afterall, isn't what loving each other is all about? It shouldn't be a one sided situation.

Yes I do agree with you.khadija001 wrote:It depends on the characters of some men and women, it seems that some can never be pleased with whichever extent you try to please them. The only solution is to imbibe the habit of appreciation.

However,it is the couples' natural responsibility to keep pleasing each other and this is not naturally assigned to a specific gender group!!!

But to me I think women do try to please their men all the time. To them they wont get what they want if they dont.
For example in a typical African society women must submit to their husbands and do their bidding or else suffer the consequences. Therefore the women always think it best to please the men and make them happy so as to avoid being shunned by the husband , family and society
