It depends on what you mean by maturity though. If you simply mean the fact that Elias made the decision that wouldn't put him in jail, why yes, it is "mature," although a more accurate phrase for that is "playing safe."CatInTheHat wrote:I concur with you on this one. He definitely showed maturity in his actions, both when he first learned how old Malika was and then later on, when reunited at the concert.gali wrote:
No matter his reasons, he acted nobly. I don't know if a genuine relationship could have been possible for them, as she changed too much for that. He had in mind a certain glorified image of her and once she grew out of it, he realized it wasn't meant to be.

As you get older, it's easier to expand the age gap. It becomes less about age and more about stages of life. If your stage of life is similar, it's easier to date.
I married a man three and a half years younger than me. I was 24 and he was 20 at our wedding...he couldn't legally drink, my friends will never let me live that one down. Nine years later and we are happy! When I think about him being in 8th grade when I was a senior in high school, it trips me out, but he's great and I love my young man!

I dated someone 3 years younger than me and it was a really great relationship while it lasted. She was really mature for her age so it did not feel like there was an age gap.Donnavila Marie01 wrote:I have the same feeling Dating someone younger than me makes me feel uncomfortable. If they are more than three years younger than me then it won't work.
I said earlier that I don't see my self dating anyone 3 years older or younger than me but I have had tons of crushes on people way older than me. I've never acted on most of my crushes especially those directed toward women older than me.
