I agree! Inkheart is a great book. I think the whole premise behind reading a book is to go where you haven't gone before. Sometimes authors describe places you can go, but my favorite authors describe places you can't necessarily go--unless you go in your imagination. My favorite fantasy place is the world of Shannara. Terry Brooks does a great job at world-building.KatieSavage wrote:I love reading books about places I've never been before because it takes me places I'm unable to go. I wish I could travel and see the world l, but sadly I'm stuck in small town working my life away. Whenever books describe places I've never been before I feel teleported to that place and I can see it, feel it, and even smell it when the author gets that descriptive. One of my favorite books that describes different places I've never been would probably be Inkheart.

There is a reason for that I like to relax on the journey with my reading taste being similar to my situation. That is rally odd for some other guy. I on the other hand tend to be cool with the book in hand related to tour.

I read a lot so I tend to forget the details in a book if I read it in one-sitting. Being in a new and different place makes reading more fun and I got to recall more vividly on what I have read regardless of the time.
