Thanks Rosemary the switching between first and third person is somewhat disconcerting.

Its too bad about the confusing POV issues, especially since your description of the plot sounded interesting. Historical fiction and romance themes can go together well but sounds like it didn't work in this novel. Thanks for the review.

Yeah. The POV was quite disturbing. Your right though. It was too bad.

Great review! The book seems intresting. However with the bad edited and the inability to maintain a steady narrative, it will be hard to go through the book without getting frustrated more often than not.

You're right charlesjr2. The switching back and forth drove me nuts. It does have potential, though.

Well kandscreeley, I have to give you credit for actually finishing the book. I don't think I have that much patient in me.

From the review, this book is more autobiographical than its classification of romance. It's unfortunate the otherwise interesting story of Bobbie Storey/Agnes is marred by several writing and editing issues.
"Sometimes I find myself sitting in one spot for hours, staring at nothing, feeling nothing, and most disturbingly, caring about nothing".

I agree klbradley. It was an interesting time. I just wish the novel had been edited a little better.
