Favourite Legendary Creatures

Post by Coraline »

What is your favorite legendary creature? For my, it would be Banshee.

She is dark creature, but very sexy and mysterious. I always love scary legends about her.

I have so many! I've always been fascinated by centaurs. There's something distinctly powerful yet noble about them.

And since reading Harry Potter I've fallen in love with hippogriffs.

I always liked the Sphynx with her riddles... But I'm reading Eragon, so I have bright blue dragons stuck in my head at the moment....

I'm a bit over vampires, I think they've been done to death (pardon the pun) and a bit taken over by the emo's!

Yeah, vampires have definitely been over done. Time to leave them well alone for a few years. Still a lot of legs in werewolves though. I've always found griffins quite beautiful too.

I have always been afraid of banshees. When I was little, my dad told me a story about how a week before an irishman dies the banshees visits him in the middle of the night and screams and cries for him. To this day, when I lie in bed awake in the middle of the night, I am scared I will hear a banshee crying!

Anyways, I have always liked vampires, but I agree with the whole 'overdone' thing. heh, what can you do?

My parents never told me anything about Banshee, but I ever think that one of my childhood friends did believe in Banshee. She told me that a day before her grandma died, she heard someone was crying outside her house (in the garden), but she never found out who she was (she was too scared to find out), than the next morning, her grandma passed away. She asked me whether I believed in Banshee. I just laughed and said that couldn't be, and that she just had a bad dream.

I loved the legends of vampires. They are so fascinating and full of passion.

I read another bad version of mermaid and starts to think that they are not really nice. I read that when you are too fascinated by mermaids and sit or stand too close with the sea, the mermaids would hypnotise you to drown yourself to the sea.
