I read and reviewed 30th Century: Escape. It was an interesting read because the author discusses several scientific themes. My favorites were time travel, dark holes, and the expansion of the universe. I think the author's scientific background was a great insight.

Surprisingly, this is supposed to be an erotic novel too. The erotic scenes and themes, however, are only found in the second half of the book. I felt I was reading two books within the same book: an academic book and an erotic book.

I enjoyed the book and the "futuristic" genre; however.......I would only rate it 2 out of 4 stars. I really liked the build up of the main character and what she went through just to start the book..and the twists and turns. I really felt the sexual "scenes" were just put in to make the book juicy to the reader (sorry for the pun) and seemed very out of place. Like I said 2 out of 4.

It sounds like an interesting story . It makes you wonder of the possibility of it happening in the future. Great review.

Thanks for the review. It was quite a bit long, but all in all, it was a fun read.

Great job on the review! I love reading scifi books. This one's pretty interesting too. The French part is a bit exciting though it is sad to know that it it isd poorly in the book. Will still give it a chance anyway

Sounds like a strange inclusion of the cartoon-like pictures, but I like the idea of beautiful descriptions of scenery. Thanks for sharing.

I have read this book as well, and the book's description mentioned absolutely nothing about sex of any kind or that this book would be so focused on romantic relationships. I was extremely surprised in the explicitness of these scenes since science fiction (that I've read) has never included this kind of graphic sex. Since I purposely avoid books that are filled with this kind of material, I was upset that I was not given proper warning when accepting the book for review. If anyone else is considering this book that has an aversion to graphic sex scenes, please note Skerator's warning in his last paragraph! The second half of the book is made up mostly of these kinds of sex scenes. Again, I would not have chosen this book in the first place if the blurb had included this information. To be fair to the reader, I think it should be included. I almost get the impression that it was purposely left out.

Sounds like an interesting concept and a talented author. It's too bad that that the scheme was lost for some of the book... Maybe more of a casual read?

Futuristic tales are always exciting to me, so I look forward to this one! The illustrations may not be for me, but otherwise, it sounds like something I would read!

Great review! The story sounds really interesting, although it's a shame that the other languages are used incorrectly. I speak and understand quite a few languages so I often get annoyed by how little research some writers do when it comes to other languages.

Too bad about the erroneous French throughout the book. I love seeing instances of different languages in books, but I hate it when those instances are riddled with awkward or faulty grammar. Adding illustrations seems like an odd choice for this type of book, but to each their own, I guess.
