Your review is as explicit as it can get. Love the back in time secret society agent trying to cope with human backwardness. The story sounds interesting. Great review and congrats to the author for making BOTD.

Time travel to the past is one theme that almost always has to do with changing the past or an aspect of it to serve some purpose in the present. This is a subject that is explored by the book's author and presents a solid image of what could be the reality of swinging between centuries. Thanks for the satisfying review.

Not my typical book but the review makes it sound intriguing. I'll have to share with my husband too!

Good review. Saving the world is always a good idea for science fiction novels. Going back 9000 years to do it is different.

Just read the sample, it has a really nice storyline, genres that I like but some parts felt forced and like they were being reported instead of being acted out or sth; but good story, and great review, Scerakor.

From the review, Mark Kingston Levin's book does seem to have quite a number of issues. However, the narrative has an interesting storyline. I think the review is nicely worded.

Thanks for the very thorough review; I especially like your synopsis, as the descriptions on Amazon are often too incomplete for me...Though the premise seems interesting, I'm not sure I'm completely convinced that I want to read it (though the sample was pretty good). I think I could deal with the less-obvious middle and I actually LOVE the pictures being included (I personally think adults need more picture books that are not fiction), but the story-line itself just doesn't float my boat.

It's a difficult job as an author to plant the seeds of conflict in a continuing storyline and keep the interest of the reader without the garden going wild in the end! Some authors are able to hoe that garden into submission and others not, but I find it interesting HOW any author does it without losing their reader along the way. Loved the fact that the reviewer was able to notice that... ;)

This book is right up my alley, and your review made it very enticing to read. Ever since I've read the Time Traveler's Wife, I have to read every time travel story there is out there.

Strange about the French. Sounds like the author was trying to be too clever.

Time travel, genetically engineered people, mission to save the "natural people". It must be an exciting book. I would gladly read about how the protagonist tried to conceal her abilities and her 9000 year old knowledge of the world history. No doubt it would be quite difficult for her not to give herself away. It would be interesting to figure everything out. Thanks for the review.

This sounds like a really good book! While the things you mentioned in your reasons for docking a star would bug me as well, it sounds like the good outweigh the bad. Definitely going to check this out. Thanks for the wonderful review!

Amazing read! Different from any other sci/fi I've ever read. Really challenges some preconceived notions.
