Amazing review of this book. I enjoy stories where women have the dominating presence. It sounds like this book would be perfect for me. I got chills just reading the review.

Great review! Sounds like a more nuanced approach than good vs. bad.

First let me thank you for an enlightening review. I haven't read the first book either and I am glad this one can be read as a stand-alone book. I am intrigued and can't wait to read the story of Layla, Cyrus and their little daughter.

Thanks Micoleon13 for this sweet review. Romance mixed with espionage, kidnapping, terrorism and with very strong characters is my book any day.

Great review, well done. As to the kidnapping subject; it is quite a coincidence then that I was reading about kidnapping cases last night. I was looking for an old cold case as a bit of background for something I'm writing and digressed right off the main road. There are many sites which offer exposure to old cases. The one that intrigued me was The Doe Network.

One thing that kept on coming up in the families was a need for closure.

It's more or less accepted now that soldiers in battle and citizens in war torn countries can suffer from PTSD, but I think that many people who have survived a kidnapping must suffer similar trauma.
Some people read to live. I live to read.

It sounds like a mostly well crafted story. Just not really my thing... I tend to prefer books with more commonplace/relatable settings so this one just seems a bit out there for me :)

I usually do not like terrorism as one of the major plotpoints of a book, but your review has got me interested. Thank you for a well written review and also congratulations to the author for getting such a great review. Will put it on my to read list!
