What made you sad or mad today?

Post by Bighuey »

What made you mad or sad today? With me it was that I screwed up my thimb opening a can of dog food with an old key-type can opener. I dont know if its broke or not, it pops and cracks when I try to bend it. I made a splint from a peice of garden hose and it seems to help not to move it. It bugs me, I cant write and I have to use both hands to shift my car and I wont even go into what it is like using the bathroom. Anyway, I went to the globo and got an electric can opener. Should have done that a long time ago, but I always thought electric can openers were for wimps and real he-men use manual ones and break their thumbs. Dumb dumb dumb. :(

Maybe you should get that thumb checked out ae Bighuey! Electric can openers are great, you only need the manual one for emergencies. My hubby and I bought one with one of the wedding gift vouchers we got and it's much easier to use when you're holding the baby in one hand and cooking dinner at the same time.

What made me mad is the mess my hubby has left around the lounge. It's left to me to make it child safe while he's gone to bed grrr

You have to keep in mind how much bigger your problem would be if the little gremlin couldn't kick up a storm & you had to spend your day with doctors or hospitals.

@Bighuey
We must be going through a phase of self mutilation at the minute. Last night I splashed boiling water on the back of my hand while making tea .. I used my full quota of foul language I can tell you. It OK today just a line of little blisters across the back of my hand. My own stupidity :oops:

Today,

It was presentation for the music genre you chose to show to the class, I (of course) picked Nirvana with my friend Ross . Whilst all the others kids chose more recent types of music, I picked the song "On A Plain to crank up the mood. All the others kids hated it, while I was explaining what grunge was (In my own words.)

It was actually quite funny. After that everyone thought I was strange for playing "Gorilla Music"

I did something simalar last winter. I splashed hot grease on my hand while making potato chips, it took a long time to heal. I said a few choice words, the pan and the grease had some new names.

I've had money taken out of my bank account by a university bookshop and I haven't bought anything from there in a couple of months(and the money that was suppose to be taken out was taken out then). I rang them but had to leave a message.
