Why the elctricity goes off so much
I belong to a poor country with a lot of electricity breakdowns. Does it go off in your country also?

Our power cable are not generally located near main roads so it would be very unusual for anyone to accidentally bring down a pole or transformer. Our biggest culprit would be lightening storms and of course, in winter high winds in rural areas.

Storms constantly and thunder, blowing out everything, the satellite included. One time, we had to wait a full night and day before my father went and got the power back on... That was a trip to the 30s and back.

But I have problems with hot water and this a disaster for me to take a cold shower every morning.
So it's better to live without electricity, but with hot water.
