I know we are taught to not judge a book by its cover, but I really didn't think this was anything I wanted to read, based on the cover alone. I think today's BOTD (in my case) is a great example of why OBC is such a successful program for authors looking to expand their fan base. I would have passed right by this one, but being it is today's feature book, your review helped me see beyond that. This is a book that appeals to fans of historical fiction, mystery, romance, and, with the inclusion of the guitar music sheet, musicians may want to give this one a try, too. Thank you so much! Your review was very helpful and well-written! :-)

While this sounds like an interesting book for those who like historical and war stories, this isn't one that I would see myself reading. Great review though!

Thanks for the interesting review. I am an avid reader of historical fiction, but I am not too keen on war stories and espionage. I think that I'm going to pass on this book. I like that the author gives detailed descriptions of the places and scenes, but I don't think that this book is going to be a good fit for me. I like that the author focuses on the characters and that they really shine in this story. I don't think that this will be a book for me, but I'm willing to read a few pages.

Historical Fiction books isn't my cup of tea, but this one does sound interesting that I would have to give it a try. :)

I’m not usually a big fan of WW2 stories, but will definitely read this one as it’s from an Australian author AND it’s set in Egypt, which gives it an unusual twist. Being the first in a trilogy is also a bonus!

I think this sounds great for those who like this genre, but unfortunately, I have never really been able to get into war and espionage and a lot of political action. Thank you for the review.

I think this will be a really interesting book to read. The characterizations sound well thought out and very well done.

A historical fiction blended with mystery and romance excites me,too good combination of a story.James and Jack which are normally the names in crime thriller also considered an add on that makes me more drawn to the story.a good choice for a strong character in the theme.i like this book for those good reasons.

I enjoyed reading the sample, and liked the two main characters, Jamie and Jacko. I think I'll read this book to learn more about them, about the war, and to see the guitar music included. Thanks for your enlightening review. It also added to my interest in the book.

Historical fiction is not really my genre but I'll make sure to recommend this book to its fans. Loved the idea of the plot and am sure my friends will do too!
