I read and reviewed this book quite a while back and I gave it four out of four stars. I really enjoyed the book and I liked how the author was capable of making me, as a reader, travel back in time.

I have yet to read this book, but it does seem promising, since I definitely would not say no to Celts and romance.

Seems like Apollo's Raven elicits mixed reactions from people. Some were floored by this novel while for others, presence of multitude of characters and elements was daunting. I have gone through many of the comments as well as the official review for this book. I will say I am intrigued by it and will definitely give it a try.

I haven't read the book, but as by the reviews it really sounds so good. I should read the book.

I just did a review of the audiobook version of this book and gave it a 2 out of 4 stars. I'm not sure that sitting down and reading the text would make me enjoy this book anymore.

I had made a post, but for some reason it didn't post properly. I haven't read this book yet, but I enjoy reading the topics in this forum to give me a background to whether or not this would be a book of interest for me. I like reading what people did and didn't like about the story. Good dialogue is something I look for in a book and many have said that there is good dialogue in this story. I also like how many people are saying the author using good descriptions. I like being able to visualize what is taking place in the story. It gives me a feel of being there.

For me, given how much I enjoy historical fiction, and especially when there are multiple themes handled, I would rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I will recommend it to fans of historical fiction.

This is true. Actually, these discussions will at times help one to make an informed and timely decision concerning a book rather than just picking a book and leaving it midway.
The use of vivid description is a nice linguistic device as it helps to be active while reading also.

The audio version has the same story and everything is the same. I also doubt if it will help to improve the rating. I enjoy reading the text because I have to sit down and give my whole attention to the text. That is why perhaps my rating would still be higher for this book.

I really liked the storyline, the use of magic, and the romance angle. Catrin was such a kick-ass character and I liked that she had the stamina to never give up no matter how infuriating her family could be. The only thing that I wished changed was the ending. It was abrupt and hard to understand and I re-read that part many times.

This is a good history book with lots of details about ancient civilizations. It is a good read for those readers who like the mixture of historical novels, mystery, romance and fantasy.

It honestly took me more than a few pages to get soaked in the book. But since I challenged myself to read all genres, I ate the words.
I have no regrets. Linnea Tanner's exquisite style of detailed character description helps you visualize a mental picture of the settings and character looks.
It did feel like a movie, clearly showing the internal plays of the ancient tribes and empire.
Catrin though small, I suppose shall save the tribe with her special magical abilities. But how can she prove useful if she is weak around her adversary (Marcelus).

It's a good book, and I'd give it 3 out of 5.
