What Do You Do With A Book When Your Done Reading it

I generally keep my books. I do lend them out from time to time. I also re-read them. Some books I have inherited from relatives and keep them because they remind me of my elders. I feel that each book is useful after I read them as either a conversation starter or a reference.

I normally keep mine. I still have a few books from when I was in high school. Sometimes I will re-read them. Sometimes if it is a book I really enjoyed I will read it to my husband.

I usually donate the book, depending on it's age. I tend not to keep a large bookshelf, it gets cluttered, haha. I usually donate the book to my county's second hand book shop. It's really a gift to have the store, many novels for less than five dollars. Is this something they have in other places too?

As weird as this may sound, I love my books and the characters in them as if they were close friends. I could never throw my books away. My husband thinks I have way too many as a matter of fact

. Since we are in a temporary living situation at the moment, most of my books are in storage. But my favorite books are in a bookshelf in my room. I don't like to loan my books out either since most people don't feel the way I do about books and either don't return them or don't treat the books with the respect I believe that they deserve!

I love books and reading so much that to not keep a book is horrifying to me. I have stacks and more stacks . I also get books from the library and if I like a book really well I try to order the least expensive version from Amazon.

I reread the ones I love but for some I just keep them until I find someone who would enjoy it. Or I will sell it on eBay or donate it to the library. I prefer to get the books from the library because then I don't have to worry about what to do with them when I am done. Also, the library system
keeps track of what I've read which is nice.

I tend to delete them from my device and my kindle. If its in paper form, I lend it or donate it after a while.

I typically keep my books after I read them. I recently decided to sell some books because I needed to make room for more books, but it was one of those stores that give you store credit or cash. It was a difference of $17 of store credit or $5 cash for 5 books! After that, I decided room or no room, I'm keeping my books.

At this point in my reading career there are very few books that I feel I HAVE to keep in my collection. Most of the time I find that either while I was reading or once I was done I come upon and individual that could benefit from the story as I have. I recently moved and even with the few books I feel are my must keeps I still had at least 4 boxes of books.

For me they are an important part of my home and my life. It is amazing to me how many people do not have a book never mind a bookshelf in their house anymore.

When I've completed an amazing book, I share it. Books are so awesome, I can't keep them to myself. I use my spoken explanation of books to encourage other's to read.

It depends on how much I love the book. If it's fantastic, I keep it and reread it until it dies. If it is something I'll never read again, I take it to this huge used bookstore to trade in for other books.

I create an open library for my friends who don't necessarily want to buy the book, but want to read it without having a set time period like a public library.
