I am not a cat person but I love children's books. The story seemed exciting and from the reviewers perspective, it is a book that will accommodate children from kindergarten. The author has done a good job by making it a pictorial piece. I am not so excited to read it but would suggest the book as a bedtime story piece. Congratulations on being BOTD.

I am sure I would also enjoy Shadow's story and its adventures. I am not a cat person but I am curious to read how the author tells this story. Thanks for the amazing review and congrats BOTD!

This looks like an adorable little tale. As we are quite the cat family (12 cats at the moment), I look forward to reading this lovely story with my children. I love the illustrations as well.

As a cat owner and animal lover it is sad that shadow is lonely and lost but cat are the smartest animal in the world, and will find there way home.

A lovely children's book. I like the storyline and would even love to read it for myself especially the cats POV which is something children would love and relate to. Thanks for an amazing review.

Shadow really embarked on a great adventure. Children reading this book will be so captivated as they will expect Shadow to return.

"Shadow's Adventure Home" by Kathy Kovar - loved the first impression of "Shadow's Adventure Home". Mostly based on the illustrations which were extremely appealing. I believe it will be a favorite for young children. Loved the review also. Thanks.

'Official Review: Shadow's Adventure Home' by Kathy Kovar is a store of information for curious readers! It gives us the full knowledge of the story of a pet cat that loves his human family! The reviewer is very well able to connect with the story of the book! The advice offered for potential readers in the review is a standard one! Nice to learn that drawings are one of the great aspects of the book!

It is a children's book, so I am going to pass on this one. I am a cat mommy, and I had a cat that couldn't find his way back home, too. I was devastated, and when I think about how he must of felt or if he got stuck out in the rain or cold or whatever the weather or he ran into the road (it was a busy street where we lived), it breaks my heart. Kids can learn some responsibility about taking care of pets, especially indoor cats, from this book, and improve their reading skills. I think they'll enjoy Shadow's "adventure" too.

I love children’s books because of the values they impart to the readers; they remind us older people of values we tend to forget and practice because of choices in life and I am looking forward to digging into this exciting book to meet Shadow and find out how he will be able to find his way back home after going after the birds.

I think anyone who has ever had a cat go missing will relate to this book. That both pre-readers and early readers will be able to enjoy equally is a plus. I may have to get this to read with my grandson! Thanks for the recommendation.

This is the cutest children's book that I have come across in the book of the day forum. I like that the author used her own cat's adventure after disappearing for two years as the basis for the novel. I think that the pictures in colored pencil are beautifully done and give the words on the page more of a vibrancy. I think that elementary school children would benefit the most from a book like this especially children who are not as strong in reading.

It would be quite interesting to read the story from the Shadow's perspective and how he returns home after wandering for two years.

As a huge cat person, I think this book would be a great addition to my shelf, even though its a children book.
