I like all three, but I would have to say that historical and paranormal are tied at first with modern a close second.

For the most part, I enjoy Modern fiction. I read so much Historical fiction as a teenager...think V.C. Andrews' family sagas. I can be a scaredy-cat when it comes to Paranormal fiction.

If I had to rAnk them it would be paranormal, historical, and then modern. I find myself reading a lot more paranormal though.

I like the paranormal genre. I like how an author can come up with a lot of different kinds of characters. It feels more imaginative to read a paranormal/fantasy book because everything in it is made up and it could never happen, where as historical fiction could have or could potentially happen.

Paranormal. I like the different versions of soul bonds and similar ideas. My favorite of that genre is the night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost. I highly recommend it!

I like historical fiction, paranormal suspense thrillers and modern comedies/action/thrillers. I don't like some kind of paranormal romance which is so common nowadays

Paranormal really freaks me out. While I do like modern literature more and can relate to it the most, I'm really interested in reading history and making sense of the present too.

Wow. This is a very difficult question to answer because it depends on the genre. For romance , I would prefer it to be historical. For Crime, mystery and thriller, I would prefer it to be Modern. I have not actually sat down to read a paranormal book and I hope I do someday.

Out of the three listed, I would pick modern to pair with romance. However, fantasy is my favorite genre by far. If the fantasy book is good, I will probably like it no matter what the genre it's paired with. This would apply to romance too, of course.

I personally enjoy Historical and horror, when the themes are mixed together the result can be quite good. A lot of history is filled with horrible events which can easily be turned into horror. Romance being mixed in is also good, but it shouldn't be the main focus (in my opinion).

I personally like the paranormal and historical. The last book I read was about the normal people connecting a ghost (woman) with the love of her life 100 yrs later. She waited for him all through the war! Beautiful character s in real life and ghost life! Lots of love in both worlds! Great ending!!! I hated to end the book! I felt lost without the chacters!
