Parents must not put pressure to their children on sports. I hope that Arnold have a new approach to her son, Billy, unlike what his father did to him when he was little. I'll skip the book because I'm not a sports enthusiast. But congratulations to the author on BOTD!

Who says you cannot give what you do not have? Arnold's decision to cheer Billy on will be a typical demonstration of 'making the world a better place'. Should I like Scotty? I will have to decide on that when I get to read the story. I like Sara already. Beautiful review.

As the son of a father who coached me in football, this book has a certain appeal to me. Fortunately, my dad was not as fanatical at Scotty. But I certainly remember a lot of crazy sideline parents! From the review, this appears to be a book I might enjoy.

With its engaging narratives and captivating characters, it provides valuable insights on parenthood, aspirations, and the impact of abuse. Congratulations on being BOTD!

Good review. I love the theme of how to treat your kids properly. Our dreams may not be theirs, and we should not impose anything on them.

Family histories often have a red thread that make certain events repeat generation after generation. Hopefully Scotty can change his family's story.

I have been to many sporting events where there was a "Scotty," and I hope someone stops him because it is detrimental to the children who want to play and have fun. Thank you for your review.

As the parent of a son who went through the youth-to-college sports complex (making sure he had great coaches along the way), I am all too aware of what a nightmare some kids go through. This book may sound frightening if you've never seen a father berating his son for puking on the sidelines in 95 degree heat during football practice, but it happens. This is a book all parents should read.

My son was not athletic and neither were his father and I. That did not keep him from being pressured and bullied by those who were. He is very talented in other areas, however. Congratulations on BOTD!

This is an exceptional review that thoroughly captures the essence of Billy Jones's Father And the Apple Tree. The reviewer's description of the book's content and themes gives a clear understanding of what to expect. The mention of Scotty's abusive behavior and Arnold's efforts to break the cycle creates a sense of intrigue and emotional investment in the story. Excellent review.
