I would rather read so you can use your imagination and retain the information on the pages of the book through memory. If you just listen, you cannot catch get all the exact details being described and spoken.

I think they both have their strengths. I love audiobooks, but feel like I can take better notes or learn more when I can read the words in front of me. I like that with audiobooks you have the freedom to do more things, like knit (I'm trying to learn). That said, I find myself reaching out for books more often than I do audiobooks.
