I think I was drawn to her character because it took me back to my childhood. I was taught by nuns from kindergarten through 8th grade and Sister Rosalie could have been one of my teachers!

Sister Rosalie was my favorite character, even though she spotted too much history. Well in a way that makes her endearing, I don't think it's realistic for a person to be able to relate so much history to so many things. Not unless they were really obsessed. Either way, liked how she was happy and cared about others so much.

Although she doesn't appear as much in the book, I loved the role Sister Rosalie played. What a unique and decent human being.

I agree! Her character was well-positioned and her backstory and livelihood really hit home. It was something I couldn't not root for. She gave up so much and even more she gave back by taking her of all those children and nurturing Vanessa and bringing her up in a way she could be proud of.

I really loved Sister Rosalie in the end. At the beginning, the historical facts were very distracting for me but towards the end of her life in the book, I found her very likable.

Sister Rosalie not only took the best care of Vanessa, but she truly loved her like a daughter and gave her everything after her death. She gave up her studies for her, and there was nothing she couldn't do for her little girl.

Sister Rosalie was definitely my favorite character. At first, she seemed annoying, but as the story went on, I found her to be kind and caring. Her choice to leave her job as a history professor to become a nun showed how much she wanted to help others. The mystery around Vanessa made their connection even more interesting. Sister Rosalie’s story stayed with me, and it’s clear that Patricia Skipper did a great job bringing her to life.

She is my second favourite character after Trisha, but I love her love for the orphans, her dedication to her religion and love for history.

Sister Rosalie, in my opinion, is a character who embodies resilience and compassion amidst adversity. Her unwavering dedication to her faith and the people she serves showcases a profound strength that resonates throughout the story. While she faces numerous challenges, her ability to inspire hope in others, particularly the vulnerable, makes her a beacon of light. However, I also find her struggles with doubt and the burdens of her responsibilities to be relatable and realistic. This complexity adds depth to her character, making her journey not just about her devotion but also about her personal growth and the sacrifices she makes along the way.

Although Sister Rosalie spewed so much history, we must credit her for being so knowledgeable. She cared, and we can see that benevolence in her love for Vanessa and the other orphans, even though the resources were meagre. Furthermore, she added a layer of vibrancy to the story. Her passing was emotional.

I did love her the most, even though her constant history pop quizzes got to be a little much. I think we all need a Sister Rosalie in our lives to give us guidance and really just give us a chance in life.

Sister Rosalie was my favorite character. I loved all the history lessons. That was shocking that she died. It was part of the reason Vanessa headed out of town and to find a new life.

Oh, sister Rosalie! I found her quite annoying when spitting out all those random and irrelevant historical facts. However, I think she was amazing for Vanessa, she gave up her own career to become her family and to give her the best home possible, given the circumstances. She was basically her adoptive mother and I would have loved to read more about their relationship.
