Monica Omorodion Swaida’s childhood was profoundly influenced by her father’s passion for music. As a police officer, he would gather all nine of his children in the living room, teaching them songs from music books—a practice reminiscent of The Sound of Music. This familial tradition not only fostered a deep love for music in Monica but also led her to start writing her own songs, sharing them with her father, who was both a poet and a musician. This nurturing environment played a pivotal role in shaping her artistic journey.

I think everything relating to Monica Omorodion Swaida's family background stood out for me most in this book. It is very important to be present in the life of your children as parents, on the long run this has the ability to prepare to pursue their personal ambition.

I loved the unity and love in their family. They would help their mother in the shop during their free time and this was exciting to read about. The way they were also introduced into business at a very young age contributed to their great financial management skills.

The most interesting thing about her childhood was the amount of siblings she had and the age gap

I think Monica's childhood has a lot of mind shaking experiences. But I was more touched by her mother's sacrifices and busy schedule. Also, coming from a large family myself with a lot of siblings, I was intrigued.
