I was imagining some scene where she is challenging the arrogant Roman soldiers to fights and totally kicking their butts. She seemed to be described as quite the warrior, so this would fit into how the author set up her character.Emilauren96 wrote: ↑02 Sep 2018, 10:12 She did! Vala was hardly in this book and I'd love to see a chapter from her point of view in the next book, it'll be nice to see her personality and her thoughts in regards to everything that has happened so far.

I can definitely imagine that which is why I'd love to get a chapter from her point of view.CommMayo wrote: ↑02 Sep 2018, 10:25I was imagining some scene where she is challenging the arrogant Roman soldiers to fights and totally kicking their butts. I'm with you. I would like to see how this story ends, but I just can't justifying spending more time on a series with an introductory book that I just can't get into. I actually had to stop and read another book before I could finish this one.ObsessedBookNerd wrote: ↑03 Sep 2018, 00:18 Though I would like to know what happens with Catrin & Marcellus, this book is a chore to get through & the only reason I continue to read was because I thought it would be better towards the end. I don’t really like the writing style of the author.
