If we are talking about dead singers Elvis and Frank Sinatra are among the best. Also Eddie Fisher was up there, too. He may still be alive, dont know for sure. He's Carrie Fisher's dad.

My current favorite singer is Josh T. Pearson and his album 'Last of the Country Gentlemen'. Hard to sum up his sound, kind of southern-gothic. I have also been lucky enough to secure tickets for a gig he is doing in my home town of Leeds on Sept 26th.

Favorite singers of all time? Way too many to mention. Top of my list would be Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, Neil Young, Elvis, and Steve Marriott of the British 60's band The Small Faces. Easily the best white soul singer I have ever heard.

How perfectly goddamned delightful it all is, to be sure.

She was just in Milwaukee (Summerfest) a couple-three months ago. I had to work. A friend of mine went and recorded it on her iphone or smartphone or whatever those things are. So I got to see Wanda on a teeny-tiny screen. Still sounded great, though!

She must be about 140 years old by now, I remember her from the late 50's and early 60's.

Yeah, my vote goes out for Barbara Streisand too. She's really put's heart and soul into every song she sings.

Joanna Newsom's voice gives me the creeps. Kinda in a good way, kinda in a creepy way. I picture her singing to her reflection in a mirror while she slowly pulls all of the hair out of her head...one strand at a time.

Jesse Dayton, Tom Dickson, Harry Choates, Uncle Dave Macon (that man could PROJECT!), whomever sings for I Can Lick Any Son-of-a-B***h in the House, Josie Cotton, Maxine Sullivan, Lavern Baker.

Sorry if I've repeated any...
