Kids should not be drafted for wars. Period.

Children should not be forced to grow up and fight. If I had the power, I would stop that menance.

Kids should never be involved in war. There is a chance that the have never received the necessary training. They will probably be the first people that the way l war will swallow.

I think so too. I agree that kids still have a lot to learn. Their lives should never be cut short before they even have the chance to live. They are the future of the country.

I have never seen this happen. I have only read about it in book and seen it in movies. It is appalling and repulsive. If I had the power, I would stop it.

No matter the situation, drafting kids for war for me is totally irresponsible and unacceptable for any government.

I don't there should ever be a mandated draft, especially for kids (you can call them adults at 18 if you want, but they cannot drink or smoke among so many other things, so a few of the only things that makes them an adult is the fact they can serve their country and/or vote). I know what my mental state was at the age of 18, and I know I would not have been able to handle so many aspects of war, let alone being FORCED to go. I think of my nieces and nephews who are approaching that age, and I think the same of most of them. It should be their own decision to serve their country, or I don't think they will do it full heartedly or with correct preparation.

I don't even know how to begin what i really want to say. I'm Syrian, and i've recently gone back there (after 11 years) and let me tell you, I've seen with my own eyes what a war fought by kids did to those -now- teenagers.
Missing limbs, missing money, no roof over their heads, no education, more than half of them turned thieves. It's honestly something I wish I could forget.

Wars are horrible in general, but wars fought by kids? unacceptable.

I also think it is horrible to draft children for war. Drafting anyone for a war that could have been avoided by diplomacy is simply wrong.

"The rich send the poor to die, and fathers bury their sons in times of war."

We need to stop this practice of sending children into wars to fight for the old men who start them. While I know I will never have the power to stop such a horrific practice, I dearly hope that as this generation gets into power in the next decade, we will stop sending kids into wars. Send the old men into war. Maybe they would stop starting so many, and we could focus on the things that matter. Like climate change, LGBTQIA+ rights, Women's rights, etc.

If I had the power, I would definitely end drafting kids for war. It's simply immoral. Forcing kids to 'fight for their country' is pratically forcing them to go off and die. Sure, governments can try to justify it, but at the end, I don't believe there can be any redeeming excuse.

For me, I think it shouldn't be by force. Maybe once you've agreed you want to fight for your country they give you the necessary training and you are good to go. But in drastic measures where the country is in dire need of fighters everyone capable should be adopted. Because sitting down and watching your country go down to me is an act of cowardice. But it should be limited to male-only.

I don't believe kids should be in wars at all - if you look at the age limits on movies, anything that includes violence and language, is limited to kids ages 16+. So if movies, which you just watch has an age limit on, how could children be sent to participate in a war that they didn't choose to be in. I understand a war needs soldiers, but I do believe the choice should be the ones being part of the war.

I would definitely end the menace of child soldiers as there is no justifiable reason to expose children to such early trauma.
