This book really is a tearjerker; from the first few pages, I felt the emotions almost palpable. I respect Katie Blanchard's skill in portraying Miriam's emotions so intensely such that my breathing became heavy as if I was the one discovering the death. I love the sound of Emma, a typical mother who jolts her daughter back to life, as it were. Great review.
