I don't much like reading on my phone. Not only is the screen very small, but the battery life doesn't seem to hold up very well. I much prefer my kindle

When I am reading on my phone I turn down the brightness and that helps save the battery for me. I am like you, not a huge fan, but it's nice to have in certain situations.

I have read on my cellphone when I was in a pinch and my nook/kindle/iPad mini/other wasn't with me. It's not bad when it's the only option but if there is another option, I go to that.

I downloaded the Kindle app for my smart phone and synced it to my actual Kindle. So now I have my current book wherever I am...but that has turned out to be hard for me and I have had to start setting timers (just like I do with my kids haha). I tend to get sucked in when I read and sometimes loose track of time. So if you are like me and have a willpower problem when it comes to books, it's probably a good idea not to read on your phone. :wink2:

I love reading on my phone. While it doesn't compare to the musty smell of an old book, reading ebooks on my iPhone allows me to carry hundreds of downloaded copies and infinite more ready at the click of a button. The convenience of pulling out your phone and having access to what would equate to a truck load of books is unimaginable to an avid reader. Next you are waiting for your order at a restaurant, in line at the grocery store, or at the doctors office you can pretend you are checking emails and escape into your favorite literary world.

I've never read a book on my Iphone, but I read hundreds of articles, essays, emails etc. every single day that I can magine making it through a book fairly easily. Thankfully, with the new IOS update, you can switch to a "dimmer" light during the night that reduces stress on the eye.

I only really use my phone to read books while at work. It's easier to hide a phone than an iPad or novel when the boss drops by your desk! Lol

I tore through The Picture of Dorian Grey while reading it on my phone. I really liked being able to lay down almost anyway and be able to read the book without worrying about hurting an actual copy.

I mainly read using my smart phone and I've been doing this for years. I prefer reading through my phone over anything else because of it's mobility and convenience.

I have approximately the same size text on my phone as I have on my Kindle Voyage. Actually it's slightly larger than on the Voyage because I read on the phone in less ideal situations. There's no reason the text has to be smaller. It does mean fewer words per line but I don't find that to be a problem. The screen is wider than a newspaper column, for example, and the lines of text are longer. If you can read a newspaper you can read a book on your phone.

That's not to say you should WANT to read on the phone. A lot of people don't and any reason for this is valid. We should read the way we choose to read.

I enjoy reading on my phone. It is the easiest way to always have a book with me.
