Capitalizing on the young adult market is great. The popularity of the Marvel series as well as the popularity of the Disney Descendants make this a marketing wonder. The next generation of readers need a genre like next generation heroes.

Normally, I would not read sci-fi or books that involve someone having super powers, but the addition of the old Russian families seems unique. So I might actually end up reading this one. Great job on your review!

Excellent review thank you very much. I love this type of book, I can't wait to read this.
It sounds as if the troubles and angst that are typical for teenagers added to finding out that he has
superpower abilities that are genetically linked, with a little romantic interest in which you describe him finding a yin to his yang and add a run for survival from mad scientists intent on stripping you of your newfound powers and you get a book I can't wait to read!

Thank you for your review. I enjoy YA that appeals to adults and you make this book sounds that appealing. I too often think of the X Men whenever I encounter mutated teens.

This book looks wonderful. I'm not so much into the superhero stuff, or science fiction, so I think I'll pass, but this is great sounding for its' intended audience and genre.

X-men-style mutations in a YA book. If this book is as good as the review sounds, then I can't wait to read it, and maybe it will be the next blockbuster movie series.

Thanks for the review. I would love to actually see how the two fair on in their relationship. The story sounds interesting but I do not like fiction much. I hope the words in the story are not that much complex as some in the review.

I don't like dark fantasies. The storyline would be very intetesting to the older teenager. I know there are a lot of people out there who would enjoy this kibd of action and drama. The writing style is very good and the characters believeable. I can see why this is a best seller. Good work.

I don't want to use the terms Love/Hate relationship, because they don't seem appropriate for this situation, so I will use Like/Dislike for this book. First, I did not like the book cover or the title, but liked the review written on Amazon. Second, although I believe this book would be more suited for young adults, I liked the inside illustration. I did not like having to go through, what seemed like a chapter of pages (character description, author reviews, author's comments and acknowledgements) just to get to the start of the book. I have to say that I like this book. Drawn in from the Prologue and reading your review, I will be reading this book. Last thing, although I did not mind the sexual content of the sample pages that I read, I did find the indication of incest hinted at, very disturbing. With that being said, I found myself intrigued with the story line and want to continue reading.

Paranormal romance seems to be the norm nowadays for teens. From the good reviews, it seemed that the book is cut for movie adaptation.

I don't usually read books like this, but this review has gotten me quite interested in the story even though it's in the science fiction genre. I do have my own share of superhero books that I've read in the past, so I might as well check this out. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us!

Good review, this book kind of gives off Twilight vibes even though the cover of the book really caught my attention and I don't know what I was expecting from this book but Adam's character reminds me so much of Edward from Twilight. Albiet, I'm sure this book has its own unique plot but since it sounds quite similar to a book series I've already read so I guess, I'll pass on this one.

The main character fantasizing about his mom was just way too much for me- thanks for the review though!

I typically enjoy books about people with superhuman powers but I couldn't read this because I am already annoyed by Adam in chapter one. I can't get past the inappropriate thoughts in the beginning and he has such a superior attitude. It may get better after the beginning, but I couldn't stomach it. Great review, glad you enjoyed it.
