Monday Mornings.
It is one more reason that I hate them, right when I would be in the middle of an interesting book, unable to put it down, my manager's face would loom ominously and push me towards the door. Shouldn't book lovers like us be granted a weekend as long as it takes to finish the current book?

When I am obviously reading (yes, even on my phone or tablet) and someone just starts talking to me. I'm fairly certain that if I wanted to talk I would not be sitting with my back to you, hunched over my device. This is easily one of my biggest pet peeves and I deal with it everyday at work.

Other people trying to talk to me. Like, can't you see that I'm obviously busy and that the adventure at hand is much more important than this mundane conversation?

Also, when people walk up to you when you're reading and go, "What are you reading?" I've made it a habit to wave the book cover in their face so I don't have to answer.

Having to get up and get something out of the oven. I can block out the phone ringing, or my kids, or the TV...but not the oven timer. (Luckily, I guess, because otherwise I'd have a lot of burnt food. Still, I hate when it disrupts my reading!)

The biggest thing that disrupts my reading which is really annoying is needing to sleep. I like to read before I go to bed to get a break from technology but when your tired its so difficult. I even feel bad if I go to sleep without reading first.

1. People who can see you reading but still want to converse with you, whats worst is that it's about something unimportant.

2. The need to sleep.

I agree with the whole thing about people talking to you while reading, but then they take it one step further and actually get ticked when I'm not listening to them. Like I'M the bad guy...you can see I'm reading, WHY are you talking to me?? it's because they can't relate to getting immersed in a book, so they simply don't give a rip. Grrrrrr....

When I purposely go to a secluded place to read and someone find me to have a conversation. I have learned to politely tell people that I am reading. Some people take the hint others do not. I've also learned to have headsets on while reading (no music playing) to make myself appear completely unavailable.

having to sleep, reading in a room with other people (like at college or on a bus), getting to a really good part in a book and having to pee, not being able to find a comfy spot to read in...there are lots of things
