I agree, they are some that are drawn out, and I would see why, as if to drag the present season out. This last season just didn't do it for me, I mean prior to the season coming on in advance, it's as though they built you way up, so by the time the episodes started, it really was a real let down to me.
I think I'd enjoy the books more, so before watching anymore seasons and episodes, I'm going to read the books.

I,ll always feel the 1st season has been the best yet. The others are dream out, and the last just not much to it, I was disappointed. Sam Heughn was on what was Regis show just before this last season started up. Oh, the women had to have their hugs.

I caught briefly other books series from this author, Dianne of outlander, can't recall titles right off but they too were of outlander types,
Or the Navy Ships out to sea. I've always liked these type books/ movies, ships and pirate , islands and bodies of water types. If anyone has read these few series, can you tell me briefly if they're time worthy.

I read the storyline of the TV series before knowing it was based on a book and I must say, it wasn't interesting to me at all! Until the first book was recommended to me by a friend. I typically like to read the book before watching the movie or series, and I was, of course, hooked. I am on the fourth book in the series now and thoroughly enjoying it. I also think that the TV series has done a great job with accurately telling the story in the books.

I love how the first episode of season one was introduced in the TV series.

My husband watches the show so I kind of see some of it. I really want to read the books.

I would say that I think I love both. It's hard for me to decide what's best with things like this sometimes, and I guess I just don't mind, as long as it's good.

In my opinion, the books were far better than the series. To the makers' credit, they have been true to the story, but the cast hasn't always been top-notch.
