Flowers in the Attic. Excellent casting and performances. Remember reading the books when I was younger. 8/10

The Words. Bradley Cooper was good but Jeremy Irons was absolutely brilliant. A young man finds an old manuscript in a battered leather writer's case in a thrift shop in Paris...and rises to fame by claiming it as his own. Later meeting the old man who penned the original mauscript. Loved it! Well worth a watch. 9/10

I watched one called Bait last night. An Australian movie about a sunami that floods a city. A group of people are trapped in a flooded supermarket with sharks. Not a bad show, top-notch special effects, contrived and confusing storyline and corny dialouge. 10 for special effects, 3 for the rest of it.
"I planted some birdseed. A bird came up. Now I dont know what to feed it." Ramblings of a retired senile mind.

Stoker - sinister, not exactly a Valentine night movie but I found it gripping & OMG what an ending ..........

I just watched the Lego Movie today and it was incredibly hilarious. Last night I watched 500 Days of Summer, surprisingly for the first time and now I really want to read the book.

Rabbit-Proof Fence was my last movie. Such a mixed bag of emotions. Very well done for such a difficult story to tell.

It's so nice to hear from another Stoker fan! I've loved all of Mia Wasikowska's work, but this one really put her on top for me.

BBC The woman in White. I didn't finish it though. I'm sure it was a good book and look forward to reading it, the acting wasn't the best in the BBC version.

The book by Lois Lowery is one of my favorites so I was anxious to see how they were going do the movie and I'm happy to say that I was not disappointed. Of course, there were some slight differences but not enough to detract from the idea. Unlike Hunger Games and Insurgent, there isn't loads of action. It is a one boy's journey in discovering what is truth and what is not. The transition from black and white to color is subtle and just as profound in meaning as it was in the book. I liked the movie so much that I watched it two days in a row and am looking forward to purchasing my copy soon.
