One of my very fave N.Y. authors who weaves history and myth into award winning/best selling novels....

I've read " Loon Lake, Ragtime, Book of Daniel, and Billy Bathgate "...

I somehow missed his last book " Homer and Langley" ( i don't know how )

it's the story of the Collyer Bros. who were the ultimate " pack rats " /hoarders of their time...it was extremely publicised many years ago incl. photos in all of the newspapers

way back then when i was a little girl living in NYC if a kid's room was a mess, it was very common to hear this from your mom: " you better start cleaning your room, it's beginning to look like the Collyer Bros."

has anyone read " Homer and Langley?

I have a theory, perhaps DOCTOROW was inspired / influenced by the A&E t.v. show " The Hoarders "...
I'm trying to establish a " timeline "...........the book was published in 2009...
