Turkey Stuffing, Cooked inside or Outside the Bird ?

Post by suzy1124 »

For me I prefer outside/ separate, the way my mother taught me...

My personal preference is for a combo of CRISP on top and MOIST inside...

After cooking stuffing on top of stove, I remove it from pot and place in a shallow baking pan or pie pan into an oven until the top is golden brown...( same technique for potato and noodle pudding )

Cooking it inside the bird is too " soggy " for me, plus I don't want all that FAT that the stuffing absorbs from the Turkey...

I cook it outside. Have you ever tried the stuffing muffins? I'm not sure how moist they would be inside but the tops would be nice and crispy.

Cool. Bring it on over and we will all test it out for you, lol.

I downloaded a free kindle book that has a ton of muffin recipes. Maybe when I have a kitchen back I will try some.

Suzy-What time should I be at your place for leftovers, lol? Enjoy your grandson…they leave the nest all too soon. How old is he?

You shouldn't leave that door open, you never know who might just walk in.
