Attempting to read through posts with a toddler at home

Post by Ava Mara »

O boy! Read one post, moccasins appear at the edge of the bed, it's 28 degrees out today but ok we'll put your moccasins on. Off she goes. Read one line of another post, she's back and needs me to take them off, ok, let's take them off. Away she goes again. Read another line, she's back holding a plastic dish "cheeos". Sigh. "You want Cheerios?". "Pees!" Alright let's go get some Cheerios. "Babo?". "You want your bottle too? Is it time for a nap? Night night?". She makes a kissing sound and walks to her room. So I grab my IPad and figure I can write a post while she's falling asleep. I lay down with her and write while she finishes her Cheerios and bottle. She watches the me type, sit up and reaches for the key pad, I say "nope" and turn the screen off, she looks at me, lays back down. We repeat this three times and then she gets up and leaves. Ugh, I guess we're not napping yet!

What is grief, if not love persevering?

Grief is just love with no place to go.
