His Blushing Bride by Dani Collins

Post by Birdlady1950 »

Piper Tierney is a music teacher in the small town of Marietta; she has a few issues. Although she is a beauty, she has a birth mark on her face that has always made her feel inferior and insecure due to the cruelty she endured during childhood. Then her world is turned up side down when Sebastian Bloom moved into her parents home for his sister wedding while her parents are traveling abroad.

The sparks fly between Piper and Bastian, as he prefers. He is very worldly, rich and very attracted to Piper. Piper is a 24 yr old repressed small town virgin that never dated until college and very little in college. She is the girl that's always ready to help with the latest school project, filling her life with busy. The sexual tension and love scenes in this book are very intense. Bastian must overcome his insecurity of a long ago affair and Piper must overcome the insecurities of her birthmark and the cruelties she endured. Piper grows into a mature confident woman during her journey of desire. It was wonderful to watch both of these seemingly put together people overcome, find love, and their happy ever-after. Some of Piper's and Bastian's rants were so funny and others were heartbreaking. I liked the fact that Ms. Collins gave our heroine a flaw rather than the usual beautiful flawless beauty.

I enjoyed seeing characters from the other books and where they were in their lives. I love the small town of Marietta and residents. This is a very busy little town and I look forward to the next installment in Marietta.

I would recommend this book for young adult to adults due to sexual content

I received this book from Netgalley in return for an honest review.
