Whispering Hills of Love by Dorothy Wiley. It's entertaining and part of a series. It's a good novel without reading the others. It's a novel for the 1800's period.

A good group of people that are family and friends unexpectedly acquired during their journey end up by Boonesboro. The journey was rough with the loss of life and the rescue of a young rape victim.

A wealthy lady becomes a widow. The rape victim is tormented with PTSD. They find healing and love during the settlement of the town.

Daniel Boone performs a wedding and gives his cabin to the new sheriff. The sheriff and his bride saves a young girl from Indians. They also forgive her father and he becomes sober.

The group bonds and becomes closer as they overcome trials. It's a novel with a happy ending. I plan to continue the series. This was a free novel from Amazon at this time. Ms. Wiley has a style of writing that is rare to find and enjoy.
