ARA Review by yash s jain of In It Together

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

In It Together: The Beautiful Struggle Uniting Us All by Eckhart Aurelius Hughes

3/5 stars

The next book I review is also quite emotional in nature - In It Together: The Beautiful Struggle Uniting Us All – written by Eckhart Aurelius Hughes. Hughes goes further to investigate how the various political, economic and social struggles are all mirror images of the same universal struggle, and how such oneness can make it easier to tackle those challenges.

Hughes is able to convey the reader that there is something that should be done, even if it seems impractical at times – strengthening the empathic and cooperative bonds of the people of this world. Drawing from his own experiences, anecdotes, of humanity, and philosophical reasoning, Hughes aims at proving that we all belong to one global family. His works are easy and interesting even though the themes discussed are deeper than those paper cut out clichés.

One of the nicest parts in the book is how Hughes addresses the reader. He paints a story in a way that, any reader would feel ‘Yes, this is me’, and requests them to ‘Why don’t you try and go outside and do such and such’. This very element makes the book informational, but also, very emotional.

On the whole, In It Together serves as a poignant and blunt reminder of how and where we can draw strength from. Hughes’ brilliant and passionate prose makes this book an essential reading for all who seek to comprehend why and this attempted goal is so much disappointedary.
