Was anyone else uncomfortable with the amount of crying Vanessa does during every intimate moment?

Negative romance of Vanessa

For a novel billed under romance, there is very little romance. There are maybe one or two sweet gestures towards Vanessa by the men in her life. The rest seems to be traumatizing sex. Was anyone else uncomfortable with the amount of crying Vanessa does during every intimate moment?

Late reply but it made me uncomfortable too. It felt intentional, to highlight how awful those scenes were. However, I agree that it felt misleading to label the book as "romance".
