This book is so beautiful it made me stop everything just to take it all in. If you're looking for a thoughtful and stunning gift, especially for Christmas, look no further—this is IT. The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse is more than a book; it’s a heartfelt journey about unlikely friendships and love, filled with gorgeous illustrations that have a nostalgic touch, reminiscent of E.H. Shepard’s Winnie the Pooh drawings.

The story begins with the boy meeting the mole, and let me tell you, the mole is absolutely adorable. Never thought I’d say that about a mole, considering the havoc they wreak on lawns, but this little guy is different. He’s an optimist, believes everything is better with cake, and honestly? Same. Completely on board with that.

The illustrations are breathtaking, but there are some that hit you right in the heart—they’re so moving and profound. Every page feels like a warm hug, and the sentiments throughout the book are ones I’ll return to over and over again. What makes it so special is its simplicity; it’s so clever and profound that it resonates deeply.

This book is just WONDERFUL. If I could give it five million stars, I would—no hesitation!
