ARA Review by JASLEEN KAUR 64 of In It Together

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

Eckhart Aurelius Hughes In It Together: The Beautiful Struggle Uniting Us All explores the unification of humanity through shared suffering as a concept of much profundity. Most intriguingly, Hughes claims that challenges do not divide us, rather connect us at a much deeper level. Alongside philosophical thinking and reflection, Hughes blends practical wisdom by making a case for accepting the beauty in interlinked experiences.

Complexities in spiritual and philosophic ideas are, deeply interrelated, yet so few authors have had the level of success Hughes has with this subject. Hughes uses storytelling and the world around him to explain the significance of unity, which is in most cases the most effective approach. The text is comprehensible yet full of insight, so regardless of whether the reader is a novice or experienced in spirituality, they can gain a lot from the text.

Hughes also discusses tackling the concepts through action which makes this piece of literature one of a kind. In contrast to other authors, Hughes actually makes an effort to explain how these notions of unity can be applied to real life. He encourages readers to think about how they can work towards creating a world that is more together.

Besides, some readers may feel that there are parts of the book that tend to be a bit redundant. While the message is strong, the impact would have been better in some chapters if the writing was more straightforward. Nevertheless, the main point of the book is very much intriguing and pertinent in today’s context, when division seems to rule the world.

Overall, the book is definitely an intriguing and inspirational book that challenges the reader to think differently. It urges us to realize that our problems are not exclusive, but rather a bond that unites us all. For the powerful message articulated, the easy-to-read writing style, and practical tips given, I rate this book 4 out of 5.
