I'm the same way. I'm hesitant to loan books to anyone because I'm terrified they will do this to them! A friend of mine loaned a book to a friend of hers, and she returned it saying, "oh, my silly dog tried to read your book. Sorry she chewed the cover off, but the pages are all still there!" I was mortified FOR her.DanHab wrote:It frustrates me to no end when the spine creases. I recently read "a memory of light" without a single page or spine crease (anyone who know the wheel of time series knows what a feat this is). Loaned it to a friend, got it back riddled with creases and with curled corners. Died inside.
