Owning a bookstore would be pretty fantastic! I have my own miniature library in my house :)

I havent dreamed of owning a bookstore but would love to have a house with a floor-to-ceiling library. Loaded with books as far as the eye could see and a comfy spot with a fire place to sit by and read the books.

I did, but after a while I realized that I would prefer working in a bookstore. After all, I lack business sense.

My forever dream, along with an amusement park entirely made of chocolate, but not the point here. I have always wanted to own a book store!! When I was a kid, I remember pointing to a book store that seemed HUGE at the time and telling my mom that when I get older, I’m going to buy the whole store. Honestly, I still plan on doing so. It'd be amazing!
My weekend is all booked!

One of my biggest dreams is not to own a bookstore but to have a huge walk in library at my house. I am so obsessed with books that if I had a library I would be absolutely determined to read everything before I lent it to someone to read and then I would be so sad to see the books go.

Yes! My family can't afford to buy books so we use the library instead and I would love to own one

Not own one, but work in one. I'm working on a temporary basis in a school library now and I'd love have a real full time paying job in a library or bookshop or printing company. Anything concerning books.

My mother and I owned a bookstore for years. We had it in her garage and it was really popular. We started with our own collection of books and what we could find at garage sales. Most people want the latest new books which means you have to be sure to check the copyright date and the condition of the book. Anything that is over 5 years old or torn up won't sell. The exceptions are westerns and Science fiction. The true western and SciFi fan doesn't care how old the book is or the condition as long as all the pages are there. We had that bookstore for about 25 years and closed it in the mid-90's. I still have people ask me when I'm going to reopen the bookstore.

I am currently a teacher, who wants to pursuit a Masters in Library Science. When I get old and retire (which some days doesn't feel too far away), I would love to own a bookstore/coffee shop. I can picture it now :).

I don't know. I think it would be nice to have a cozy book place that you could own independently, but then you would have to deal with all the things business owners deal with. Taking reality out of the picture, yes, I probably have dreamed of owning my own book store.

I'd love to own a bookstore. I don't know that I'd make much money at it though!

OH yes. The only thing is profit. I'd live to do it but maybe as a retirement thing.
