I think it's safe to say that the trilogy are what we call modern classics. I thoroughly enjoyed them. It helps that they were adapted from the R. L. Stine books of the same name

It was a fun trilogy! It's a teen/YA horror, has some LGBT+ representation, and I had a soft spot for the protagonist being from the wrong side of town. Definitely worth the watch in my opinion! There's a fourth one confirmed for this year although as far as I know it isn't linked to the original storyline.
