I agree. The Fate Sealers were a unique kind of cruel that had me afraid for Will for the entire book.

Victor Valorian was able to kill the King, ruin the King's name and prevent William from succeeding him, and plot to rule over him when William seemed to be the better choice between him and his deranged uncle.

The Fate Sealers are an excellent choice for worst villain mainly because they not only harm and kill people in Echoland, but also in the Sound world.Tomah wrote: ↑01 Sep 2019, 14:11 I vote for the Fate Sealers as well since they're a looming presence throughout the book. The thing about surprise villains is that we might not get a chance to really feel invested in them as villains, so the final confrontation doesn't feel as compelling. I disliked the false king for similar reasons: he only shows up at the very end to be defeated.

Yes, they are exactly like Dementors which makes them fierce villains.

I think the False King is the worst. He killed the King , lost his hand to his brother then devised a way for that brother to create a rule that led to his downfall-Diabolical is an understatement.

The fact that they can come and go from the Sound land-our world- is beyond chilling.Benthic wrote: ↑02 Sep 2019, 20:39Yes those soulless creatures are certainly enough to give me the chills.Ferdinand_otieno wrote: ↑02 Sep 2019, 03:01Yes, they are exactly like Dementors which makes them fierce villains.

Right? I still dont understand why they were allowed to be in a sanctuary place when everyone there was there to escape their deaths by fate sealers. Atleast that was my understanding?

It was a trump move by the King to make them Headquartered in a place of sanctuary, that is why they are the best Villains in the story.Kro92813 wrote: ↑03 Sep 2019, 04:27Right?
