Fictional or Religious

For those who believe the Biblical version, any creative additions and deviations are fictitious. Anything that aligns with the original story isn't fictitious.

I believe that "Killing Abel" by Michael Tieman is a fictional book but also one that is based on stories from the bible. The book uses actuall verses from the bible but that doesn't mean that everything in it is true. The writer has blended fiction with reality to create Killing Abel, and if one doesn't know the actual stories he shouldn't rely on the book but read the actual bible

It is a fictional book based on religious texts.
Perhaps I wouldn't advise children to read it before reading the actual texts so they don't get confused. So they don't get the idea that religious narrations are fictional whenever they do get to read the actual texts.

I would say yes, children and others who do not know the true stories should not be allowed to read this book, because i believe most of the ideas are more fictional then religious.

I really couldn't say, but it should be clearly defined whether it is religious or fiction before someone reads it. On the other hand, there are many religious fiction books and movies.

Definately religious! There are many bible verses, Adam and Eve etc. i don’t think these things would have been a heavy topic if it was only fictional.

While the book does have some elements of fiction, for most parts, it relies heavily on the Bible. Knowledge of the events mention in the Book of Genesis is an unofficial pre-requisite. Non-Christians won't enjoy this book as much as the practicing ones will.

It's definitely very fictional and shouldn't even be read as a substitution for the main book.

Yes, the story itself is a work fiction, but then scriptures were often cited. So I'd say it's more fictional than religious.

The story is taken entirely from the religious book. But has been modified in a fiction book style. Still telling it a religious book would be safe for me.

The foundation of the entire book was based on the Bible stories in the Book of Genesis. Fictional characters were added to give a lift to the story. I would say it is a mixture of both, but religious more.
