This sounds like a really interesting book. Murder mysteries are some of my favorites, and I think some of the best ones have more going for them than just a suspenseful plot. I might have to check this one out. Thanks for the great review!

Sounds like a really interesting read! The mix of murder mystery, real-life issues, and a dash of humour sounds right up my alley, especially with all the details about the Ojibway traditions and the environmental conflict. I always love a good whodunit with some quirky characters.

From your review, I can tell this is a heavily packed book which tackles a lot of important topics like environmental protection, conservation, pullution, historical erasure etc. etc. etc. Thank you for writing the review and doing the book justice. Keep it up.

This book seems like it would be really fun to get deep into, especially for the plot aspect about the spiritualism of turtles. Seems pretty realistic too, even for fiction, and the suspense is a plus. Great review!

For the world to thrive for generations, ethical business and accountability are a must. The mining company sure seems to do the opposite. I enjoyed reading your review. Always game for a mystery novel.

Great review! It's nice to see a review that is long with all of the necessary ingredients to discover what the book's contents are. Lately, all of the new reviewers are submitting short 175-word reviews with nothing about the plot or characters. If you like turtles, you would love it down here at South Padre Island. It is virtually turtle town. They have a rescue center, a turtle release program, turtle sculptures, turtle stores, everything turtle. The book seems interesting so that I will give it a try.
